CORE RESPONSIBILITIES • Design and maintain onboard/ground wireless communication links (LoRa and other RF) • Specify and integrate aeronautical wired protocols as applicable • Lead signal-processing work for link budget, robustness and interference management • Manage electronics development for comms hardware, including supplier interface • Mentor junior engineers and coordinate cross-domain comms integration
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES TECHNICAL • Expertise in RF/wireless systems (LoRa) and signal processing • Knowledge of aeronautical wired communication protocols • Electronics design competence (schematic, hardware bring-up) • Ability to work across the hardware-software boundary LEADERSHIP & PROFESSIONAL • Team management / mentoring experience • Effective supplier and cross-domain coordination • Clear technical communication with non-specialists
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE • Engineering degree in electronics, telecommunications or equivalent • 6+ years in RF/wireless communications engineering • Prior team-lead or mentoring experience • Aeronautical or aerospace domain experience preferred
