Ophir is a Ph.D. Student at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and the Helmholtz Institute of Mainz. Ophir's main research interests are experimental particle physics, nuclear astrophysics, plasma physics, dark matter searches and earthquake prediction. Ophir has taken part in five analog space missions, at LunAres, Habitat Marte, Astroland, HI-SEAS and Mars Ocean Analogs. Ophir received recognition within Forbes Israels 30 Under 30 list and the SGFF NASA Exploration Award. He is a board member of CHASM and leads the HUJI Aerospace community on behalf of the Rakia Mission and the Israeli Space Agency.
