Abstract


Moonshot Celebration is a simple idea: people write a short wish and send it to the Moon. They can do it for free, or they can choose a digital or printed certificate as a keepsake. This revised proposal is a three month MoonDAO pilot that tests whether “wishes to the Moon” can reliably grow MoonDAO’s community, create measurable engagement, and generate recurring revenue through a clear revenue share model. The lunar delivery component is executed in collaboration with LifeShip (lifeship.com).
Problem
MoonDAO is building the future of humanity in space, but most people still feel space is far away from them. Many want a personal and accessible way to participate in lunar exploration that does not require crypto knowledge. MoonDAO also benefits from quarterly sized initiatives that drive measurable community growth and create sustainable funding pathways. The Senate feedback highlighted that the scope must fit a single three month cycle, the budget needs detail, and the business model should clearly explain how revenue will be generated and how MoonDAO benefits financially.
Solution
Scope reduced to a three month pilot (single funding cycle)
We will run a focused “MoonDAO Wish Pilot” that delivers a MoonDAO branded participation funnel and a measurable go to market experiment for Moonshot Celebration, in collaboration with LifeShip (lifeship.com) for lunar delivery integration and mission packaging requirements.
What we will deliver in this quarter
1\. MoonDAO participation funnel \(MVP plus conversion optimization\)
  • One MoonDAO landing page that explains the concept, sets expectations, and routes users to submit their wish.
  • Clear options: free wish, digital certificate, printed certificate.
  • Tracking and attribution (UTM links and referral codes) to measure wish submissions, conversions, and MoonDAO sign ups.
  • Ongoing conversion optimization across the three months (copy tests, CTA tests, onboarding flow refinement).

2. Safety and quality controls (pilot level)

  • Moderation workflow for flagged entries (spam, hate, illegal content).
  • Submission rules and enforcement including one wish per participant where feasible.

  • The full 25,000 wish target as a quarterly Key Result.
  • Large scale exhibitions, NFT programs, or complex onchain systems.
  • Multi country institutional rollout.

These scenarios are intended to validate conversion, CAC assumptions, and the repeatability of the revenue share channel. The primary objective is to produce verified data that MoonDAO can use to decide whether to scale, iterate, or stop.
