Abstract#

ETHDC brings together hundreds of crypto enthusiasts, including those involved in creating blockchain policy on Capital Hill. By sponsoring this event, MoonDAO will gain exposure to a new community of Web3 participants.

Problem#

The DAO will eventually cease to exist if it doesn't keep growing and finding new members. We have very little representation in the United States capital.

Solution#

We have identified an audience that already understands the benefits of a decentralized ecosystem. By sponsoring this conference, it will attract fresh ideas and fresh digital wallets to the organization. MoonDAO will identify 10 people at the conference to invite to a small dinner.

Benefits#

The DAO stands to gain members who are working within the nation's capital, who have political influence on members of congress, and can give insight to the changing legal arena.

Risks#

No one takes MoonDAO seriously and the funds simply go into supporting another Web3 organization.

Objectives#

Objective #1: Get 5 people at the conference to join MoonDAO

• Get at least 5 people to sign up for the newsletter or join the Discord
• Ideally get them to purchase MOONEY and/or join the Marketplace
• Objective #2: Engage with DC DAO
  • Get at least two members of the DC DAO organizing committee to start attending Moon DAO meetings

Member(s) responsible for OKR and their role:

• Justin Park will be responsible for coordinating logo placement, making sure the banner is visible at the conference, and speaking on behalf of the DAO at the event
• Austin Wilson will be responsible for taking photos and videos of the event

1. Work with ETHDC organizing committee to make sure MoonDAO is advertised on the website and at the conference.
2. Create a Final Report with metrics on the effectiveness of the sponsorship.

Initial Team: Team members are responsible for:

1. Someone else needs to create a banner (if one doesn't exists already) and have it sent to Washington, DC so that it can be on display during the conference.
