Open Pathways to Space: Democratizing Space Analog Missions in Brazil’s Semiarid is a project about giving 4 people from all over the world a fair chance to experience what it is like to prepare for space through a participation in a space analog mission in Habitat Marte space analog station based in Brazilian semiarid. The mission will happen from October 12th to 16th, 2026. Going to space usually feels like something only a few countries or people can do. This project wants to change that. We use a special place on Earth called Habitat Marte, a space analog station located in Brazil’s semiarid region. This environment looks and feels a bit like the Moon or Mars: dry, remote, and challenging. Because of that, it is perfect for practicing how humans might live and work in space.
