ANSWER

Answer: C) 135. There were 135 Space Shuttle missions between 1981 and 2011 sending a total of 355 different people representing 16 countries to space. All of the Space Shuttle missions launched from Florida’s Kennedy Space Center and the program was instrumental in the construction of the ISS. Two of those shuttle missions ended in tragedy with the Challenger and Columbia missions each claiming the lives of seven crew members.
